About Us
Your eyes are a part of your central nervous system and are often a window to your health or illness within your body. The Board-Certified ophthalmologist at Blue Water Eye Care Associates, P.C. is prepared to examine, diagnose, and treat medical eye conditions and recognize important clues to other, sometimes serious, health disorders requiring medical attention.
Regular eye exams are an invaluable tool in maintaining your eyes' health by detecting and preventing disease. Some diseases, such as glaucoma, often develop gradually, without causing pain or vision loss. Early detection of any problems can allow for a choice of treatment options and a reduced risk of further harm.
Patients should receive an eye exam every one to three years, depending on their age, risk of diseases, and overall physical condition. An eye exam includes a visual field test, dilation, glaucoma test, slit lamp examination, retinoscopy, and refraction. Exams for children and adolescents focus on detecting and monitoring any changes within the eyes, as most refractive errors develop by the time patients reach early adulthood.
At Blue Water Eye Care Associates, P.C., we build our reputation one patient at a time. The greatest compliment we can receive is the referral of a friend or family member from one of our patients. Those who have shared their positive experience with others refer a large percentage of our patients to us. We think that says more about our commitment to patient care than any brochure possibly could.
